Getting in a plumber to check on your pipes etc while having your kitchen renovated is a good tip and can save you money if he spots a problem starting.

Bathrooms are another favourite place to renovate as it can change a lot about your home. For example, if you have more children or regular visitors having an extra sink installed or adding an extra bathroom or even just an extra toilet can hugely impact, and quieten, your home life. Again keeping sinks and toilets etc. in the same location can keep costs down but replacing them with more modern fixtures can change the whole look of the bathroom. This is another area that while your renovating get your pipes and things checked to avoid future problems.

Why not an Extra room?

Adding an extra lounge or bedroom can easily make a house more liveable. A very popular idea is to turn your garage or half of a large garage into an extra bedroom or office. This is normally the cheapest easiest option to making your house at least seem bigger. Or you could turn it into a playroom or extra lounge.
