After spending many happy years living in their beautiful home in south Auckland, the owners have decided it was time to renovate and modernize their house interior. Being a busy working couple, they were looking for a turnkey renovation and decided to put their renovation into our hands.

The house has had its kitchen and bathroom makeover done quite recently, so this renovation’s focus was all bedrooms, hallways, and living areas.

Flooring

We have removed the original carpet and tiles and installed laminate flooring through hallways, the living room, and a poolroom. Laminate flooring is an excellent choice if you want a high-end hardwood look but need something more durable for pets and kids. It’s installed on PSA Sound Absorbing underlay designed to dampen sounds and insulate the floors simultaneously.
The owners love their pets and appreciated the fact that laminate is a much better choice against scratches.

The carpet was the choice for the bedroom flooring. Using a high-quality, dense underlay and 61oz carpet is the perfect recipe for long-lasting softness and warmth.

Painting

We have stripped wallpaper throughout the house, skim the walls and removed all imperfections, added new covings where needed, and painted all the rooms, including their doors and frames.

New HWC and exterior door

We have also supplied and installed a new exterior Hot water cylinder.
Exterior cylinders are becoming very popular, as it’s a great way to gain more storage space previously taken by the bulky cylinder.

We have also supplied and installed a new back entrance door and a laundry door. Our clients have decided to go for double glazed PVC joinery. PVC joinery has many advantages compared to traditional aluminum joinery. The energy star rating of standard UPVC Joinery is 4.0 stars compared with 2 stars for standard aluminum windows and 2.5 stars for thermal broken aluminum windows. The other advantage of the PVC is 5 point locking system for additional security.
