Kitchen upgrade
A simpler kitchen upgrade is viable where the layout and structure remain essentially the same but you replace your benchtops (if dated), sinks, tapware, splashback, cabinet doors and handles and most appliances if they are old. New kitchen fixtures (replace existing in same location)
There is an exemption to the Building Code which allows you to replace kitchen fixtures that are being installed in the same location, provided you are using the same or comparable materials. However it must be carried out in accordance with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 2006.
