The existing kitchen was small, it was closed in by a partition wall between it and the living room. Our first step was to remove the wall and fridge area cabinetry and relocate to outside wall. Removing the wall created an open space. The open plan living looks so spacious now allows dining table setting. Installed high quality tile flooring and subway tiles splash back which is easy to clean. The kitchen looks completed and stunning. Laundry / toilet/bathroom The existing bathroom was small, had a shower over the bath and was in need for an upgrade. Toilet was in the laundry room which had wasted space.     We suggested to open wall between laundry and bathroom and utilize the wasted space to create a tiled shower. To create better flow we relocated the bath and vanity, also reposition the laundry tub. The laundry and bathroom now has a wow factor tiled shower, a better flow and looks spacious with tiled floor which is easy to clean. Successful 2020 Renovation in Tauranga

We met with our client one evening after work, Client had a few ideas around her bathroom / toilet renovation, and also wanted to make some changes to the master bedroom wardrobe, Removing the 4 hinged doors and the internal dividing wall, framing up for the opening for 4 sliding doors. We noted down the information and also offered a couple of our own ideas and options of products. https://youtu.be/eRPGZw28PaI Following the initial visit, a concept floor plan was drawn up and sent out with a scope of works outlined and the requirements for the work was sent out to each of our contractors (building, electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling, floor coverings, shower cubicle) to provide costs. Our client also received the floor plan, this is to ensure that we have covered everything that was discussed. Once all contractors quotes were in, a full fixed price quote was written up ready to present to the client. ​ On acceptance of the quote a time line was drawn up and sent to all contractors and the client. Once we started the bathroom renovation and had stripped out the area completely, we found that the floor area under the existing acrylic shower tray had originally been set up for a tiled shower. We overcame this by using a floor levelling compound, and then set up the new shower tray. We came across some rotten framing which needed replacing due to the shower leaking from a poor install and set up. The bathroom was completed in a timely manner 15 working days, start to finish. Our client selected her own vanity, mirror and tiles, she went with a black powder coated shower, and black tapware throughout. While we were on site, we were asked to replace a door, change all the door handles throughout the property, replace light fitting and hand a couple of pendant lights.

It is always a pleasure to do a renovation for a client who so happy with the job that they start referring you on.

We received a phone call the following week from a colleague of our clients wanting to upgrade their bathroom, toilet and shower room.

Clover Park South East Auckland Renovation

Full home renovation Clover Park Our clients wanted to update their parents home in Clover Park, Manukau. The main briefing was to make sure that the finished project would meet the needs of the older couple who lived there. The space needed to be easy to keep clean and also accessible and optimise the family health. This is a well loved family home and the renovation would help update the functionality, style and flow. The kitchen                 The existing kitchen was small, it was closed in by a partition wall between it and the dining space. Our first step was to remove the partition wall and create an open plan kitchen, living and dining room. Removing the partition optimises the usable space in the kitchen and creates clear line of site throughout. Installing high quality wet area laminate flooring ensures that the floor was easy to clean yet remained attractive in the lounge and dining. Taking out a wall can mean losing some upper cupboard space however we made up for it by using the back wall. We installed a kitchen island and now the kitchen has much more usable space than before. The kitchen is a high quality white embossed kitchen with recessed handles boasting soft closing drawers and cupboards. The bathroom

The existing bathroom was in need of updating. The space was reduced by a cupboard which was accessed from the hallway. We removed the cupboard from the bathroom and moved the vanity to side wall. The bathroom was then waterproofed and tiled from floor to ceiling. The placement of the bath was changed to run along the back while we created a custom built – walk in, tiled and frame-less shower. Removing the cupboard and rearranging the space has opened up the area while encompassing all the desirable features of a family bathroom.

                    

The bathroom certainly has the wow factor now. Floor to ceiling tiling definitely costs more, but the look achieved is so stylish and classic.

The full house

Throughout the home, the floor coverings were replaced with new Carpet, Laminate and Tiles. The gib was replaced in areas and the walls were insulated, the walls were plastered and painted along with new skirting and architrave. The laundry area was updated and new custom storage cupboards were put into the bedrooms. The house is barely recognisable and much more functional.

         

The time frame for a renovation of this scale was four weeks from start to finish to complete the interior. The value added to the property would be more than what was spent on the work. Most importantly the home is organised with more storage, and better functionality. The home is now comfortable and healthier with insulation in the walls, ceiling and underfloor and ventilation has been put in the bathroom and the kitchen.
