A Recent Renovation In The South East Auckland Suburb Of Manurewa

A Recent Renovation In The South East Auckland Suburb Of Manurewa
Our team was recently involved in yet another building project in South East Auckland, this time a Renovation in Manurewa. Like many of our other projects, this involved a complete strip down and redo of the interior as well as a new deck installed on the side of the home. Manurewa Renovation – The Before As you can see, this home was very much in need of a do over. The carpets were stretched and lifting, the walls discolored, the curtains old and in dire need of a change. The bathroom was old and getting rather run down, and the tiles were stained and not up to par. The deck had also seen years of use and was reaching a point where it was no longer presentable, so that also needed a spruce up. Our Manurewa renovation involved removing the whole interior of the home including the furnishings and carpet and redoing the walls, the ceiling, the floors and everything in between. Manurewa Renovation – The After   As you can see, all rooms including bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen have had a complete makeover. A complete new color scheme was brought to the house, with a clean white used as a base and a number of carefully chosen vivid colors used to accent areas and provide a bit of flavor. The kitchen received all new cupboards and shelves in a style to match the new theme and flow with the living room. New wooden flooring was also put down, which aside from pleasing aesthetics services to make the kitchen appear longer to the eye. Carpeting throughout the living room...

South East Auckland Renovation Before and After

Walking into your home and sighing because you just wish it was more modern, you wish there wasn’t so much that needed repairing or you wish it was no longer a dated shade of orange is never a good sign. Although you can choose whatever design or colour you like for your home, when you choose bold colours and designs you are usually left wanting to change them after a few years. Change = money. If you stick with the tried and true method of functionality, practicality and neutral tones you will find that you get much better value for money. Our client came to Renovations NZ wanting to update their house. Although there was a neutral palate with white walls and wooden detailing, the kitchen was tired, the carpet had lost its tension and had started to ripple and overall the house looked worn. Ramin and his team got to work. Whilst the floor design worked when the house was built, our client found that each room in the living area was quite cut off from the next. This left the living areas feeling disjointed. If you were in the Kitchen it was difficult to talk to people in the Lounge and if you were cooking in the Kitchen there was no way to keep an eye on what the kids were doing in the Lounge.   After checking that the walls were not load bearing, Ramin opened up the wall that separated the Lounge from the Dining Room. This gave a much better sense of space and a lot more actual room for people to enjoy. When...

Recent Wordsworth Road Renovation

Recent Wordsworth Road Renovation
Renovations NZ and the team were contacted by a homeowner, whose property in Wordsworth Road was in need of repair and renovation. Ramin met with the homeowner and they discussed what the needs were in the home and what the homeowner wanted to accomplish by the end of the project. Some before and after photos from the Wordsworth Road project are below. Take a look through and see the transformation for yourself. The Kitchen Although not in terrible disrepair, the kitchen of this property was looking tired. The cabinets had ingrained grime and the tiled back-splash certainly was in need of an update. Some of the cabinet doors had long fallen off and were nowhere to be found.                           There was a doorway that lead directly into the kitchen. This was blocked off and the kitchen gained well needed space. This allowed for extra storage and new cabinetry. The colour scheme was kept neutral so that the scheme would not age so well as colour trends change in the future and new hardwood laminate flooring was installed. This instantly freshened the area and is a practical solution to a high traffic area like a kitchen. The Dining Room The dining room was stuck in an 80s time warp. The yellow stained glass and brown joinery made a tired, cramped space look and feel much smaller than it truly was. What a transformation! Ramin and his team extended the hardwood laminate flooring from the kitchen all the way through to the Dining Room. This elongates both spaces and gives...
